Daniel Lee, MD, MS
Surgeon & Assistant Professor
Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Urologic Oncology in the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
I completed my residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Vanderbilt. I specialize in the management of urologic malignancies, such as prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, and penile cancer. I have expertise in open major surgeries and minimally invasive approaches such as robotic or laparoscopic surgeries.
The overall goal of my research and work is to improve the quality of care and access to healthy life for those communities most at-risk, including for minority, poor and homeless communities. I have been working on using innovative tools to improve health education, and empower patients to make healthy decisions. I have spent years working with the homeless in North Philadelphia, and HIV patients in the Dominican Republic and Haiti and want to apply those lessons to help patients with cancer.
My goal is to provide honest and high quality care, and be able to communicate with you about every aspect of your care. I want to provide any information or support that will help you in this journey.
